Notes
GEICO Commercial is a brokerage, not an underwriter. GEICO's own fine print states business coverages are "written through non-affiliated insurance companies and are secured through the GEICO Insurance Agency, LLC," and GEICO names the partner carriers it places with: Hiscox, Homesite, The Hartford, biBERK, Liberty Mutual and Utica First for business owners policies, plus CNA, Travelers, Berkshire Hathaway GUARD, BHHC, Berxi, Coverwhale, National General and Next on its claim-reporting page. Commercial auto is the exception: since 2007 those policies are placed with members of the National Indemnity Company (NICO) group under an arrangement with GEICO Insurance Agency, which issues and services them — so a GEICO commercial auto loss run is a NICO-paper loss run serviced by GEICO, and any other GEICO business policy's loss run has to come from whichever partner carrier wrote it. Identify the underwriting company on the declarations page before requesting. GEICO publishes no loss run email, no loss run request form, no fax (its own fax page says the right number is given out case by case by a service or claims agent), no required-information list and no turnaround. The number given is the general Commercial Insurance line, published on GEICO's phone-contact page and used for commercial auto sales, service and claim reporting alike — it is not a dedicated loss run desk. NICO separately publishes (800) 691-3891 for "Policyholders serviced by GEICO" on nationalindemnity.com/contact.html, which is the closest thing to a commercial-auto policy-service route, but NICO does not describe it as a loss run line either. Two addresses circulate online as GEICO loss run contacts and neither is carrier-published: see the dossier.
